Emerald Cut Peridot
The birthstone for August is “PERIDOT” (pronounced “pear-uh-doe”, the “t” is silent). Beautiful vivid green with a slight hint of gold, the perfect gemstone to go with that light summer wardrobe.
Peridot is a very old gemstone, which is very popular today. In Ancient times it was found in Egyptian jewelry, it was said the stones came from a small volcanic island off the Red Sea.

It was not a commercial success when it first aired, in 1939. But, from 1959 to 1991, The Wizard of Oz was an annual television tradition in the United States, and through these showings, it has become one of the most famous films ever made. Even today.
August 26th – “National Dog Day” Today is the day to honor dogs for all they do in our lives and give us so much love. In addition to giving us companionship and love…dogs watch over our homes, they are used in rescues and for the blind. So give your dog a BIG HUG today and maybe play with him also.
